Schmidt & bender scope identification

I have a S&B scope that I want to sell, the problem is that when I look on line all the S&B scopes of that power look totally different. The ones on line have covered adjustment turrets and a threaded focus bell. Mine has exposed turrets with the legend of 1 click= 2cm@100m and a diopter type focus adjustment, the label on the box states
Stahl M
4x36 L
Any ideas

No idea however I am after a low power S&B so I would be interested when you decide on a price.

Mate, the type you're describing is old! However the good point is that the old ones still benefit from a life time guarantee. Back in the days when customer service was more than just lip service mentioned by sales assitants. The new scopes are now bing punted out with only 10yr guarantees (recently changed from 15 and before that 30).
Certain unscrupulous folks have been known to contact S&B to report that they're scope is now prone is misting in cold, wet conditions. This is a common problem with the older ones, with the seals failing. Such scopes are then booked in for a free service and usually an upgrade on the optic lenses for a token price (parts only). 3-6 weeks later and the scope is returned, looking like new and could be sold recently serviced and with new optics. Al it cost was a phone call and carriage (possibly a small fee for new lenses).

Thanks for the information, but as a god fearing type I'm not sure I could do that, plus the fact that this scope is like brand new, when I got the scope it was sitting on the top of an un shot, still in the grease enfield no4 mk2 made to look like a T. I took 4 shots with the rifle then took the scope off and put it in the gunroom, where it has sat for 5 or so years. I'm just having a bit of a clear out and needed to list the scope correctly.
