Schmidt & Bender 'scope adjustment

We have a S&B 12x56 here which has elevation and windage turrets that look a bit like this one. The turret has a small scale with screw which I would expect to be a micro adjustment however it is under a sealed plastic cover so I am not so sure..

Can anyone tell me what the small screw is for and if indeed it is for user adjustment or simply something the factory uses for setting the 'scope up.

The little screw is an indicator that shows the reticle's relative position in the scope. The little dot is actually supposed to show where the reticle is within its adjustment limitations.
Take a look at page 16 in this pdf: S&B information

Well everything is sussed out now and the rings (Optilocks) have been shimmed to bring the rifle to it's mechanical zero at 200m. It has a generous 15,4mils of elevation so it should be fine for 1200.

That is my bit done, it is down to the Viking now to reload something for it and get shooting.
