Wamadet press how do they work. I am looking for a press to sit on a desk top to neck size and seat bullets would one of these do the job.
I have no experience of using them I have never even seen one. Any body shed any light on the subject.
Any body know if Forster do neck dies in 7.62x39.

Not been on the Forster site to check, but MOST die makers restrict their neck dies to calibers that are non-semi-auto calibers. A quick search on the site may get your answer
The Wamadet = what info are you after?
Dromia knows more than I do - but he is also older & a lot more windswept!
I have 2 Wamadets - a PortaPress & a HandPress. There is a Lee unit that is a lot like the handpress, but made of old soda cans & not solid steel. The PortaPress was so well made that they were also designed as bullet swaging units

I have had a wamadet for years and it is still in regular use.
Yes you can use it on the kitchen table or even on your lap.
It is capable of neck/full sizing up to .458 Lott and I used to use it for swaging lead bullets (9mm and .38)
It was made by North Devon Firearms (NDFS) now no longer available I believe.
They do crop up occasionally but you can't have mine I'm afraid.

Er, yes...
They are basically a very over-engineered steel press, mounted on a wooden base. (PortaPress model)
The cam system means that the die is fixed, the cam system raises the s/h & case into the die.
Using the press you can do all of the stages needed to load ammo; just use the appropriate die for the job
The HandPress is more or less the same, but held in the hand...no base unit.

Right I get the idea.
The bit on the base with the shell holder attached is that a fixed thing or can you change it out. The one I am looking at does not seem to have that it is just a flat base.

It may be that the s/h part is missing on the one you've seen.
On this model of press the part undee the s/h is hollow, to catch the empty primers. The main body/tube is held on by a screw; when full of primers you loosen the screw to empty the s/h base.
Another reason for it being removable is to attach the swaging accessories in its place
