We are seeing a lot of requests for .223 reloading consumables such as brass here as well so I suspect we are only one step behind in the panic states.

I've got a brand new unused Lee 3 die deluxe set as a spare, do you think I should list it?. for $212 I'd even throw in 100 Federal cases as well! :good:

Just looked on the Lee website, apart from 6.5 X 55 Mauser all of the 3 die sets are showing out of stock! - Madness!!!

I sometimes go onto an American forum the members are posting that .22rf is running out of stock at dealers, they are all buying as much as they can get. WHY

perhaps it's panic buying, perhaps not, but I have just ordered 200 223 cases as mine are knackered and I have been putting off their replacement for months (years?)

.22RF is becoming popular as a plinking caliber for pistols and rifles due to rising ammo costs.

Lot's of people buying full size pistols like 1911's and the Walther Mosquito chambered in .22RF, also the trend for semi auto military style rifles in non military calibers - much like in the UK.

We have a Glock 23 with a .22 conversion kit that shoots specifically MiniMags (can't get them right now) for those who cannot handle the .40SW. Also it's MUCH cheaper to shoot 200 rounds RF compared to 200 of .40. - even reloaded.

One thing though, ammo IS in short supply right now. 1000 rounds 9mm frangible is now $350.00 + tax locally.

Hmmm interesting, I have a spare set of RCBS .223 dies and a couple of other .223 dies, might list them and see how they do.

Here's a couple of photos of the very first set of dies I bought way back when the Earth was still young. As you can see they are not in the plastic boxes that RCBS uses today and I am still using these dies to this day.
