168grain Sierra Matchkings data please.

#1 Post by Alpha1 »

I have purchased a quantity of .308 168grain Hollow point boat tail Sierra Match King bullets'.
Any body got any load data using Vitavouri powders. I normally use 155grain Hornady A max with 42.3grains of N140.

Just look in the Viht Manual. It is available online and as a down load.

Viht says 38.2 to 42.8, I use 41 with A-Max and Nosler CC 168s, works very nicely for me (or 42gr of TR140) :good:

N140 I found to be outstanding powder with 168gn SMKs. 41.5gn was my choice.

Actually I've found N140 to be outstanding in everything suitable I've tried.
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Guns dont kill people. Dads with pretty Daughters do...!
