How do all!

I've found my kit bag get increasingly bigger. ****

I do like to take everything with me to the firing point because the times I haven't, I've forgot something then find myself running back to the car parked at 600yds at Bisley!

I take the lot in a huge bag with rifle over my shoulder. I take waterproofs, shooting jacket, scope, warmer jacket, mat, rear rest bag, ammo, bipod, oh God the list goes on and on!

I know what yer going to say but I hate leaving gear behind so I think a large rucksack is much needed instead of doing a wonky walk to the firing point. troutslapping

What do you take and how large is it getting? I did find a surplus 65l for £27!!! I wonder if that what do!

I gave up hauling a load of kit to the firing point a long while ago and these days if it does not fit in my pockets or rifle bag it is very unlikely to come with me however I do have a Snugpak response bag which holds a few odds and sods which comes with me on occasion.

It was going that way for me too, and ended up carrying a crazy amount of stuff. Now I just use a voodoo tactical drag bag, which has decent storage and molle loops on the exterior for additional pouches. I also carry an MTM ammo can with my ammo in it.

One of those little alluminium folding trolleys or if you're really ally then a powered golf caddy.

I'm female so it's a substitute handbag - therefore huge and contains everything I could possibly want!

Mind you that does mean there is also room for anything that Chris wants me to carry for him, same as a handbag

In our part of the world the fashion is (or was) to build very sturdy wooden boxes with front opening panels etc. Mine is the most grossly over-engineered structure you'll ever see and it weighs a ton. However it is like a mobile office (score book, pencils, aide memoires etc) and doubles as a chair and step ladder.

I have a sports holdall. It's too small, really, for all my kit - TR jacket, sling, glove, scope, scorebook, ear defs, shooting glasses, waterproof jacket and trousers, ammo box, shooting hat, chamois leather, pencils, spare scorecards, wet weather scorecards, chinagraphs - but if I take about 10 minutes I can just about pack it all in.

It also means I have to carry my mat and rifle separately which is a pain. I haven't yet found a rucksack which zips open like a holdall so I can get at the gear inside without unpacking the entire thing, otherwise I'd switch to that.
