How long does it take

#1 Post by David-mauser »

My FAC, shotgun certificate and Black powder License took 31 days for Dyfed-Powys Police :wales: to grant but my doctor messed up and didn’t send his medical report to them for over a week **** otherwise it would have been around 3 weeks.

And now I have just had a .44 BP pistol “like for like” variation turned around in 5 ½ hours with me dropping my FAC off at the Police HQ at 10.30 this morning and then picking it up when they called to say it was ready at just before 16.00, is that quick or should I lodge a complaint? :shakeshout:

Mine has never been like that.....
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Guns dont kill people. Dads with pretty Daughters do...!

I got my FAC on Saturday - I'd put it in for a one-for-one last March

Northumbria used to be like that, sort of...where I am now is like nowhere I have heard of aside from in the collected works of Douglas Adams

Wiltshire is like that, first application was 3 weeks, variations done "while-u-wait" :shakeshout:

I guess they are focusing more attention on us herts shooters,

3 weeks for a FAC/SGC grant. 3 days for a variation.
Can't fault them at all

Durham turned my SGC renewal around in less than 3 weeks, which considering the recent troubles was pretty good, particularly as it was done in the run up to Christmas :good: Mind you it couldn't have been a more straightforward application!
