James1st leaves the building

Just returned from a few weeks away and I come back to the thread I started now locked.
Clearly I touched a nerve for which I apologise.

I felt the lead fullbore organisation in this country and one that shares the same initials and gets mistaken for an American outpost should make some sort of statment.

It has now, although as a reaction to an article in the Sun.

I can't beleive that my post was taken in the way it was so I shall leave this place and I wish you all well.

No need to leave, there were some strong reactions to your post and Admin felt that it was best to lock the thread to avoid it getting out of hand.

The NRA has always been a sensitive subject on this forum, I think it always will be.

As I said in the final post in thread before locking it.

It wasn't locked because of your post it was locked because of the manner in which some members chose to disagree with your post.

Agreed with Dromia, some members seemed to be stupendously juvenile in the response to your thread. Rather than actually responding to your remark, they got offended by it and started attacking you. To be honest, it was better left locked if that's the way people are going to respond.

Can't say I blame you wanting to walk away when that's the welcome you get to a forum.
