These rifles were captured when the German forces were driven out of Norway. They were then converted to 7.62x51 Nato or 30-06 rounds by the USA and handed back to the Norwegians be used for civil defence.

Ooh very nice. That is one very good looking rifle. As it is marked HAER (Army) is it in 30-06?

Very nice. I would have thought the Swastikas would have erased during the conversion, but good to see some of it's history remains.

Hi ovenpaa

This one is in 7.62x51 I think Chris had only one chambered in 30-06.

I am guessing that as this was re chambered and used for defence, that this is still a military rifle/calibre and that you would be allowed to use it in Historical comps?

A lovely clean rifle, well done,

Hi

Went to Bisley to shoot my .308 mauser, because of a misunderstanding I could only have time to use the zero range, what can I say works fine, and nice to use. I know the distance is not that much of a challenge, but all the bullets were in a 1"-3" group around the bull area most holes touching, so I'm happy. Need to get a adjusting tool to move the front sight, to the left, and I don't mean a big ammer
