Has anybody on here got there reloading manual yet? And what do they think of it?
The word from the states seems to be that it's not up to much with a lot of the info cribbed from elsewhere and a lot of loads very conservative.

Yes had a few here already, youre commenst are correct but i found the book pretty good but as you say some of the loads are on the conservative side. Most of all reloading data in reloading books is ont he net now days, its an information overload world now days.

I enjoyed the info in it but the load data ain't worth anything - very conservative with no accuracy info. Can do much better online.

More like it is a world of litigation Spud, nobody dare publish full blown results for fear of a range failure and legal action regardless of any disclaimers they put on the product. Same goes for QuickLoad which although a handy product does appear to have been sanitised over the years.
We have a strain gauge coming in start of next year which will be coupled to a Chronograph and very accurate barometer and temperature gauge to do some load development on a new rifle. I am curious to see just how close/far off manuals and software are to the real thing.

My very limited experience of Berger bullets is that the loads need to be consvative, my mate was noting high pressures with low loads very early on in his load development.

Sadly the comments about litigation are far too true. Sadly the standard forum disclaimer of "this is my load work up carefully in your rifle" obviously isn't adequate wtfwtf
I bought a copy and was interested to get some more info for my .284 F-class rifle as ive switched to Berger 180hybrids and was amazed to see max safe load of 51.8 grains of Hodsons 4831sc (going from memory) when im running 55 with no signs of pressure tesnews
Still a good amount of other info so still not a bad read :goodjob:
