ACOG Scopes legal into UK?

Ignoring ITAR restrictions, does anyone know if there are any legal issues with importing Trijicon ACOGs into the UK?

No. They do come up now and again, but boy are they expensive. Alex from "the other place" had a shed load of them a year ago or so.

Definitely No? I'm getting all sorts of conflicting info saying that an 'End User Agreement' has to be signed and various other paperwork for importation/Customs. I'm intending to get one or more from Europe.
I can buy a rifle that can hit a target between the eyes at 1km+ but, seemingly, I can't buy my desired f*cking scope for it! wtfwtf

I would have thought getting one in from Europe is no problem at all, not requiring paperwork, VAT or anything else.

From the US, different matter. Export license, import licence, end user, blah, blah, blah....

Is there not a UK importer? When I was at Viking Arms last month they had a shelf packed with EoTech sights. Would love to have a proper root around in their warehouse

There probably is but they'll only sell to Military and Police. Prices will be off-the-scale mental anyway which is one reason I'd rather give my money to someone in Europe.

I know someone who picked up a used ACOG from them (they do sell new kit too) and I've seen it in the flesh, it was bloody good for 350 quid. Their new ones are a tad more expensive though.
