Out of interest do you know what the bolt core diameter is or would you mind measuring it if you get a chance? I have been advised it is 16,0mm however I have a feeling it is a bit bigger than that.

Put it on to weigh the rifle and decided to leave it on. As I said on the S-Class website I don't have a problem with them because it's attached to the rifle and in any case I use it as a hand hold rather than a rear rest - but I'll leave to the "Technical Committee" to rule on the legality* or otherwise!
