What! And let the Wife know how much I spent on them!

BTW What I did do though as seeing how I'm getting on a bit, I made a list and photos of each Gun and stated what a Dealer would sell them at todays prices, in case I drop dead suddenly.

You know what mates are like..."Sorry Mrs 25Pdr, this collection is not worth much" Also I know of two Guys who have stated if I go suddenly they will race each other to my house and tell the Wife that I said they could have their pick if I croaked.

You have to...if you make a claim...the insurance company can very quickly use that they did not know against you to avoid paying.

All those valued over 1500 quid are specified on my policy, just as with a watch of mine and a couple of pieces of the Mrs' jewelry. There was no morbid fascination or shouts of derision from the insurance company, just a "matter of fact" item possessed....

God forbid you are burgled or even damage your guns accidently, you will have give your insurance company the perfect opportunity to knock your claim back.

Guns.... just another commodity.

If not, when you're dead she's going to sell them for what she thinks they're worth....

"Of course Mrs 25Pdr we discussed it on the forum when he bought that....... 65 pounds is a very generous offer.....!"

Same here. Bumped the premium up quite a bit :bad:

Fortunate enough to have had my guns on my policy for a number of years, did little to the premium at the time of adding. Not so sure now, though.

tacb..At this point your policy is probably a waste of money...as it is probbaly voidable in a claim.

NON disclosure is taken very seriously and it is NOT for you to decide it is important or not, that is an essence of insutrance in the UK.

I had moine on ALL RISKS (AA I think) and there was no hassle (although someone did ask me about semi auto pistols FFS).

Even if your claim was unrelated to your guns, if they find out you could lose the claim AND what you paid...Get it sorted for peace of mind.

Ideally make a list of everything and photograph ..amazing how it mounts up
