Went yesterday and to be honest I was far from impressed, it looked like most sellers had dragged the same tosh from last year and wanted top dollar for it. Midway had hardly anything with them which is a joke as I was prepared to buy a bit off them there to save postage. Most if not all stalls wanted shop prices

had a good visit to the Shooting Shed, very impressed with Daves rifle system, and bought some C2R to give it a go, met a number of forum members (my nipples will never be the same!) :o sign01

Went today and very few bargains to be found. Most stuff - brass, bullets.etc cheaper from Kranks. Primers and powder were going fast.
I know it is not possible for vendors to carry everything, and I know that they have to try to recoup some of their costs, but I was a tad underwhelmed with my first visit.
On the plus side, Shooting Shed's stand stood out well and seemed to generate a fair bit of interest.
I hope the weather draws a few more in. Yesterday must have been dismal for those in attendance, and the M25 was the usual Bank Holiday car park by the time I was on my way home.

I managed to buy a book on single shot rifles and a tub of TR140, so not a wasted journey. The NRA museum was open and worth a look. Like others have said the prices seem to be going up a lot

Went along for a look and was actually quiet impressed. Massive selection of kit and guns, was not restricted to old stuff, lots of black rifles, etc. Price wise, picked up some reasonably priced ammo, but I wasnt expecting loads of cheap stuff, exhibitors will have overheads to cover, and there is this nasty thing called inflation.

If your in the are and haven't been before I think its worth a visit. Shooting Shed was busy :) Didnt get to actually look at much shooting, will read up on what's where a bit more next year and go again.

thought it was a really good turn out today, i dont go there for bargains, its more a case of having a fair bit of stock to choose from, meeting up with dealers /friends and having a good chat. what i learnt about steyr 95s today is beyond belief!, i made some good contacts for reloading and got my name in the line for some rarer stuff that may be coming up.
you could say if you dont use it you'll lose it.

Well yes you could say that if it was not a half a day drive and a over night stay.

fair point, bisley is a local one for us only being 11/2hr drive, but then you have london, birmingham, bristol and leeds arms fairs, c.l.a gamefairs and the local fairs, so we do tend to put a few miles under our belts just being punters, suppose where just social people!!

Just back from the Phoenix and drying shootie stuff out!

Looked like it was quite well attended but, to me after 35 odd years of PistolAD and Phoenii, it was the same old stuff moved around to different dealers! Got my reloading stock up which would have cost a fortune in carriage so happy with that.

Shooting Shed was impressive. Well done. It appeared to be a mecca (not sure if that is a suitable title) for UKFBers!! Sorry to block your display area David / Christel. Nice to put faces to names folks. You will have to be our meeting point forever now!
