Our representatives on these programmes---appointed by the BBC, not us---always fail to use the most effective argument: When you ban something, you create a a market for the criminal fraternity. This has been demonstrated many times, starting with prohibition in the USA and with modern drug laws. Our line should be:"Control works, banning increases criminal use and exploitation of the ban".

Having thought about it further, I find it unbelievable that fellow shooters should say these things in a public space.

Who do they think they are!?

Not only was it taken to a personal level on this forum, hence the account deactivation (not banning), now we see it on Twitter as well as blogs and fellow shooting forums.

Where is the Unity we should have within our community regardless of our chosen discipline, club or national body?

Christel, he's a third rate hack for an obscure rag, ignore him. He'll be fine once his balls drop.

I know Callum as he's in the same shooting club as me...

He's a really nice, genuine bloke with a real love of the sport and a desire to improve things.

He may well make mistakes (which he will freely admit to) but then again, so do I.

Christel, I think that that may be a distinction for you, for most forum users, it is not. deactivation would be seen as a ban

The Bisley bullies with their strident shrieking and personal damning of anyone who thinks the NRA is not what they perceive it to be are no longer allowed to post here due to their personal attacks on members.

The place is the better for their absence and there can now be more measured discussion of the NRA, they are no loss and they are welcome to their petty, biased, bullying and singular opinions especially as we do not have to suffer it here any longer.

Didn't realise that Gaz had been hit with an account deactivation. Many of us have said some fairly fruity things about the NRA here, so what could he have done to give that as his reason?

Missed the drama!

I shan't address this subject again, I just get so disappointed when people slack other people off.

One question though, who is the person "State Control" in the little Farcebook segment?
