Hmm, alpha1 seems to shoot exactly the same cartridges as us, does him ! Seems like viht is the brew to have...

With regards to measuring powders, we plan to weigh our charges rather than meter them by volume. That being the case, it won't make much difference that Viht are extruded sticks and Ramshot are spherical will it ? If we were going to meter by volume, we'd go for ramshot equivalents of the Vihts.

For rifle calibers I weigh each one by using a lee dipper to drop the bulk into the scales pan, and then use a trickler (Targetmaster trickler for large batches and a simple manual trickler for small batches) to bring it up to the exact weight; so shape of powder makes no difference.

For pistol caliber I use a Lee Auto Disk - powder shape could affect this, but I always weigh a few to check and have never had a problem with consistency using 'stick' powder.

Ramshot will meter very well. Extrudent powders like varget will meter but will often crunch, so to get charges to +/-0.1gr you may want to check the thrown weight and top up with a trickler.
