I drool over this every year at IWA. I even contacted S&W - asking them to weld that bit of steel on the back for us Brits - but, they are not interested in 'circumnavigating' our laws and upsetting the Government.

If that German mob can fugly-fy a 686 and it not magically turn into a prohibited weapon, surely a European RFD can import a load of those hand cannons and get the local fab shop to weld on a coat hanger so the overall length complies? N.B. Is that barrel a non-murderous 300mm+?
Or are we back to the old, it left the US as a S5 so screw you johny civilian shooter.

I think I may ask Merkle tuning about making a few of these UK compliant.
Looks like fun!

But, don't forget - S&W list the suggested price as $1600 - now how much will that welding cost?
Who is really going to but one at say £2000?

I would get one, just for the blast!

Yep 14" barrel & 21.5" overall length, doesn't need much sticking out the back to make it legal.

Me too, would have to get our range re-certified to handle it though....... I'd love that discussion with the Committee

What's trade going to be, around $1200 I'd guess? So imported for around £1200 inc. VAT, duty, ITAR fees etc. You might be able to pick one up for under £1800 and still allow a decent margin for the brave sole who goes for it
