Nice G98, I have a 1915 Amberg, with dark tiger striped wood. Have not shot it for a while, so I may get this out for a run.
One on the range and above one of the fireplaces. Thats not where it lives by the way, normally have my Indian Musket there

Lovely looking stock on the one on the wall!

Great photo's to match as well. You know it's wrong not to take it for a shoot!

I'm so happy to own one and really can't wait to get on the range again to improve on my last shoot. I was also looking at buying a bayonet but it will just stay in my gun cabinet to be honest, so maybe not. However a sling would be nice to get. How do you find the MTM rest as I was was looking to get one for this season as they're not to expensive?

Feel free to show post any more pics you have!

Many thanks, when you work that action you know its been made by engineering geniuses !
The rest I have had since I started shooting, a tad light so I am weighing it down, now have a rear bag support filled with cat litter (Unused!) so should do the trick. THe rest is circa £40 and easy to put away.

Seeing as you metion pictures I put some more on here, no spam intended.

Lovely collection you have there Mr! :goodjob:

After I get a Mosin sorted I've got a space left for another Mauser so it the hunt will begin for a K98 sniper with a period scope. tongueout Probably not for a while but it's on the cards.

You're dead right about the action on the Mauser, truly amazing!

It seems to have been a long time ago I got to use for the first time the G98!

This Sunday the 3rd it's our clubs first shoot at Bisley at 500 and 600 so I guess it would be rude not to get it back out!

Sometimes you just can't beat using a no fuss iron sight rifle!

Had great time yesterday shooting the old Mauser. Not a fantastic score but put a big smile on me face! For the first shoot of the season it was a good one, if a bit cold but should be fun year to come.
