There is plenty of opportunity to give the non-Enfields a day out here: SAW Classics
But that's the point John, it has not really been changed. The COF still suits 5 round mags....few of which are actually pertinent to the rifles mentioned (I say few because sods law if I say non someone will chime in).

Perhaps the issue here has sod all to do with who it suits (You, me, anyone that shoots something that is catered for) and more to do with the NRA publicising it.

Build it and they will come...only if they know its there mate. You get more strikes in the US penal system than one before you are out. As it was it made no difference, just less shooters and another class discluded. Same COF, same targets, same location.....no change.

Shooting is all about being inclusive and for some about meeting, greeting, learning, competing, gaining experience and in my case, avoiding people I have p*** off/ribbed on here :o

"If you dont like it sod off elsewhere" is not ideal and you see why the "Bisley centric" waffle starts flying. When Pete C asked why I was not in the last one (after shooting slightly better than s*** on the CSR experience day with my No4) I confessed I had no idea it was on.

Finally, if you think about it, any battle rifle "As issued" (I saw the no slings bit there....an error surely as I never got issued anything without one other than on a cadre/beatup) bloody well should b ecompeting against each other, albeit at the same ends of the range.

Blimey, what an opportunity, come on you lot pull your fingers out, stop manking and talk to the comps guy, an dnext time bloody well make an effort eh? ;) The organisers did. I dont own a foreign rifle, but I do see an opportunity squandered.

Dunno about that but the carbines are bloody spectacular. I shot one a few weeks back. When it fisrt went off I thought Dan teh Man had blown himself up (I was in the SS Carpark....thats Short Siberia not the CNC...although they do use it...cripes...who knew? clapclap )

There was this bloody great flash and a boom.....Brilliant

Vodka required before use cheers
:D :D averaged 5 hits on a fig14 with it but it was with a red dot and not allowed in the Historic CSR match. Unfortunately I'm away on the 4th otherwise I'd love to have a crack with my No4.

Right - I will be organising an LMRA range day for service rifles (modern, old, Enfields, whatever - I'm not fussy). This will.be at 200yds, firing at Fig 11s or the PC equivalent. Snap targets and the full 4' board will be available. The day will be open to members of affiliated clubs as well as LMRA members. Date TBC but likely to.be a Sunday in mid-to-late April. PM me for my email address and further details (in fact I should start a new thread for this shouldn't I...)

Propper job.....don't worry about PC targets.
