Apparently the Police were called to an incident and think it was Sunday. Certainly they attended site over the weekend.

Had a great time looking at and handling all the beautiful firearms and then spent some hard-earned on 2 more for the cabinet and a lot of accessories. Was surprised at the attendance, both from the stall holders and public, as some of the other boards seemed to imply that it would be relatively quiet due to the costs going up for traders.

Will be rushing back next year for more of the same :)

A pity that you never attended the Anno Domini pistol meetings then Mark. The trade show was truly four times the size with some very impressive kit. The major importers were virtually obliged to attend too or lose out on a marvellous showcasing opportunity.

By the sound of it probably a pi55ed off shooter giving a snotty little marker the benefit of some "kinetic education"....lol

Sadly I was otherwise engaged but I do really need to get down to Bisley or somewhere and get some sensible distance use out my 284 this year

What I am going to do is suggest they give them some sort of zap or reg number. We dont need to know who is doing the marking by name, but I dont think its fair that the bad markers should tar the good or ones that try with the same brush.

Where possible I am going to start keeping a log and obsess a bit when I think things are going astray. If the NRA are given accurate feedback they may well be able to weed out the rot.

Some markers have formed themselves into teams and hire themselves privately for slightly higher rates, but they do a good job.

Then if all else fails.... tesnews

1. What section does the mortar come under

2. Is Stickledown cleared for mortars?

OK, I may wipe a few out by way of collateral, but at least that should be incentive enough to get the sort if Intel we need :good:

I think the idea of making sure the range office know that your marker has done a good job or not is essential, but wether they heed the info is another matter.
I am happy to pay for decent marker, when we've been down from Oundle club we normally have a lad called Shaun who is a top marker and he always gets well looked after.

Are the results available online anywhere as yet? A search of the NRA website reveals nothing.

The site says "will be available shortly" - so later today or tomorrow I would guess...the anticipation is building...

~PS if you pick a day with a strong following wind, you might be able to call in Naval gunfire support from HMS Belfast, it would make a change from threatening the Gateway motorway services tesnews
