Martin,
Are the stripper clips for your G98 the same as the K98? I have about 20-25 here that I wont be needing as I have to single load into the mag on my K98 (the scope is in the way!)
If they are any good to you I can drop them in the post.

Lovely rifles.......if anybody has got or has seen a GEW98 with the legend "Captured at Hooge Trenches" engraved into the butt stock.......I would like to buy it back....I sold it to buy a Target Rifle I thought I needed about 20 years ago...... sign01

Oh dear!! That is a real shame mate!!

I can't warm to my TR! I'd rather shoot this all day long hopping for a v-bull! You never know it might show its face one day then snap it up!

Hi all

After loving the Gew 98 I put in a variation to have another Mauser and also 7.62x54R.

It came through today with no probs so good news. :goodjob:

So I might treat myself to a Mosin in the new year. I did think maybe a used Dragunov but none about and just to pricey.

party2

Hell, a Nagant will wipe the floor with an SVD anyday. Plus, they're cheap and very accurate. Plus, you can't break 'em.

If it was £800 I might of thought twice but a made up PU Mosin will do me fine plus it's a little bit of History!
