Regulated barrels are also ammunition/load specific.

To themselves yes, but in a double rifle they need to be so in relation to each other.
Hence the need for regulation of the barrels.

The last .22 side by side I saw went for £17,500 at a Gavin Gardiner auction at Gleneagles.
