I'm experimenting with Stove Paint, tried it on an air rifle, heat treated the parts that wouldn't fit in the domestic oven with a heat gun, the finish seems quite durable.
I used engine paint on the barrel bands and butt plate, everything else I touched up with Blue Wonder. Blue Wonder is something else altogether, nothing like a bluing process. I have been using Duplicolor high heat engine paint for many years on my sten guns, it is a really tough finish when properly cured. Most people can't tell the difference from blue.

I bought mine direct from the company in the US. I see no reason why they would not ship it to the UK. This is the first time I used it, I'm well pleased with the results and minimal preparation needed.

Explosive, have you tried Oxpho-Blue by any chance? Really good stuff, I rebarreld a Yugo M8 Mauser the replacement barrel being in the white. The Oxpho-Blue is a piece of cake to use and the finished result was excellent.

I think I have tried them all including Oxpho Blue. I have found Blue wonder to be the best with Radoxy hot rust second.

Having said that it's probably not fair to compare the Blue Wonder with the other offerings as it is not really a blue, it's something else. It's like cheating :)

But love the guns
Currently working on a no gunsmithing chassis system for mine as a research project for part of my engineering course
(I'll be sure to post some pictures this evening)

I had one for a while. Regret selling it.

I too thought about a bespoke chassis for it.

Would love to see yours when done.

I've had mine for nearly 2 years now, not shot it as much as I would have liked, but I do love the straightpull action (and that of the Steyr M95).

Got 13 clips for my K31, just need a bayonet and ammo pouches now.

Lovely bayonets however no doubt they will refuse to ship to the UK as they are weapons of mass destruction.

Ask them if they will ship them to the UK, I would be surprised if they would not. Tradex is a Canadian not American, they are in the business to make money. If you want one give them a call. They take credit cards.

They are just under 18" long, and the quality is Swiss :)
