Good tip -- thanks!DW58 wrote:As I uderstand it, renewal reminders are suposed to be sent out around 12 weeks pre-expiry, I received mine barely six weeks before, but I had had my forms etc. ready for weeks.
From what I understand, the entire system within Police Scotland is log-jammed with a backlog of renewals, variations and grant - pre-empt the sytem and contact your FEO about your renewal before the reminder reaches you.

If ... ... Airgun licensing is brought in, I will get rid of my two air rifles, I just don't want the extra hassle for something I haven't used in almost three decades.
Probably won't help. I had everything organised about 5 months before it was due and hey presto - still late. When I contacted my FLO he said it wouldn't be dealt with any earlier because of the back log.DavidRees wrote:Good tip -- thanks!DW58 wrote:As I uderstand it, renewal reminders are suposed to be sent out around 12 weeks pre-expiry, I received mine barely six weeks before, but I had had my forms etc. ready for weeks.
