Why would anyone want to kill the thing that kicked off the forum ????? Strange....if you don't like it (GoM) then stay away from it, simple really.
Chuck, I remember it well, I headed of to have a read of the GD section and there it was gone, I was so hacked off I moaned at the Viking and by late evening F-B(UK) had been spawned albeit in a very simple and free version. We watched with interest as a few came over and decided to give it a while and see if it lived or died.

Here we are in our 5th year and approaching 250k posts with nearly 75k in GoM although it is fair to say a percentage of those are still shooting related just out of the immediate public domain and passing bot. GoM is as much a part of F-B(UK) as GD was of the last forum.

The flashbacks will most likely be muzzle blast from our Nagant carbine and Farmer Giles will be getting those...

I think you should have a spelling mistake highlighted forum.

I think you should have a spelling mistake highlighted forum.

Obviously with a sub forum for syntax and grammatical offences?

GOM is not going anywhere, most of us need a place to moan about life from time to time.

For a name may I suggest the Anal Retentive or the Spelling and Grammar Nazis forum.

If we're going to have sub fora, which we are all in favour of, can we have separate fora for SSBN, SSN and SSK?
