Charge Master...

Neighbour tells me that he never calibrates before using it. Doesn't zero either. He always checks the thrown load on a beam scale and it is always spot on. Doesn't wander.

I calibrate before each start. Never zero. Never wanders. Spot checks sometimes and it is always good.

Only thing I have noticed is the occasional extra kernal thown into the pan just as it is done, ah well, start again.

What sort of cyclic time are you getting to deliver a charge on the Lyman?

For comparison, using a CM with tweaked parameters I get around 45gr of N140 dispensed approx every 23 secs - just longer than my cyclic seat-measure-box rate (single-stage).

Bob.

Will get back to you on that as I had to box it up again - nothing wrong just till I get everything else sorted. However, good news yesterday, Chris & I have treated ourselves to a hand built reloading bench, made to our spec, to fit in the spare room .... and it arrives on Monday - whoopee :D :D :D

That sounds like a plan, don’t forget to post a picture when it is built and all laid out.

Some of the wood arrived today for my new improved reloading area, the plan is to build it over the Xmas break, technically I wont get any extra bench space but storage will increase and lighting will be improved and during the summer I will be able to sit at the bench and get a lovely view of the garden.

Christel,

I just lift a couple of kernels out and then run the trickler until it's the right weight.
