As far as I know, the only way to buy an AX stock on it's own, is as an
AICS (Accuracy International Chassis System) separate chassis systems. The problem is they aren't designed for AI's, they're for Remingtons and unless I'm mistaken, they're not interchangeable. So... the only way to get an AT action in an AX stock is to buy both rifles in their entirety. I'm happy to stand corrected if I'm wrong, but I don't think I am.
You just get the 20 moa rail, but a company is offering a 0 moa imminently. You can attach rails to the stock sides and underneath if you wish.
I believe the AT is just as well built, it certainly feels like it and incidentally all AI's have floating barrels.

My mistake, it's not a 20 moa rail, it's just a high 0 moa rail.

I mean the butt after the hinge
The AT butt used to be on the AX last year
The new AX has a skeleton foldable butt
It would look great on the AT chassis

Is the other butt an option?

No sorry the only buttstock for the AT chassis is the one on my rifle AFAIK. Although... you can change the skins for about £50, so you can go for a similar look to the AW on the AT with the thumbhole. This is the folding stock version.

Oh now that does look nice.
Still think the AX Butt would fit though!
Which way does it fold?
Same way as the bolt or the other way?
Also what was lead time after ordering and was the AX the same lead time do you know?
I'm getting close but you may have just swayed me!

The old AX butt stock would fit as it folds the same way as the AT (to the left when behind the rifle), the new AX butt stock folds to the right. Even if you could get it to fit/work £700 odd extra is a lot to pay for a replacement butt stock...
It just depends what Sporting Services have on the shelf. I ordered mine on Friday and took it home on Wednesday. No idea on the AX.

Would appreciate a little more advice:
AE / AW - second hand (if you can get one) or a new AT - what would be the recommendations?
There is a secondhand AE on Gunstar (
http://www.gunstar.co.uk/accuracy-inter ... zqVqDtB.97) for £3250 (inc. optics but nothing else) - this does seem to be expensive (maybe not?) and a new AT on Guntarder (
http://www.guntrader.co.uk/Guns-For-Sal ... 1110145001) for £3120.
What are the thoughts / advice of those with more experice than me?

The main differences between the AE and AT is the bonded action and the 6 lug bolt. What is it that you like in the AE that you don't see in the AT?
