Have read good and bad reports about those rifles - what is your opinion?

Same here, I was on the verge of purchasing one of these. After scouring the net for reviews I found all sorts of 'info';

The gun is exactly the same as the ISSC Mk22

The gun is made by the same factory as the ISSC but using Anschutz parts

The gun is made by Anschutz

The gun is part made by the ISSC factory then handed over to Anschutz for completion

Anschutz redesigned the action, but they don't actually make anything for it

The trigger is match grade, by anschutz

The trigger isn't match grade at all, but better than the ISSC's

The trigger is the same as the ISSC's

And so on and so forth until I just thought "ya know what, I'm not wasting my hard earned on something that no-one can agree on".

The only reviews I can find is the official Anschutz blurb that's copied and pasted into a few distributors websites, Peter moore's gunmart write-up and a handful of grainy clips on YouTube.

My local gunshop kept getting delayed by Ruag for some unknown reason and because of all that I lost total confidence in it before I'd even held one.

I decided to spend my cash tricking out an old favourite instead, but I'm still curious to hear from anyone who uses the Anny MSR with regards cleaning and stripping, accuracy, trigger and reliability.

Well after 3 months use I'm pretty happy. I'd read the dire reviews of the ISSC version but figured that Anschutz wouldn't put their reputation on the line by selling crap. Some of the parts are shared (parts of the reciever and stock on the 'Black & Tan' variants) less so on the precision that I bought. Stripping for proper cleaning is a bit of a nause (it isn't particularly quick and easy) so as long as you have a bit of time it's fine. I was more worried about reliability as the ISSC has a reputation for misfeeds and jams. In 500 rounds of cheap ammo I haven't had a problem, once the freeby stuff (CCI Std) I got with the gun is used up I shall move on to CCI Minimag, which appears to be favourite among semi auto users. The rifle is comfortable to hold and the trigger is adjustable, so I think I made a good choice. I'm happy anyway. The only thing I might change is the sight, particularly as I want to do a bit of minirifle so a red dot is probably the way to go.
