I think he's referring to the scarce Lantac Sub-Raven.Sixshot6 wrote:But what exactly is the unicorn rifle in the lantac context?safetyfirst wrote:Unicorn as in mythical, rare, etc.

You are correct.
Re: Show us your rimfire's

Vickers Armstrong Mk1 'Special' fitted with Parker Hale 'Perfection' rearsight
Circa 1926

Re: Show us your rimfire's
The Vickers also came with some ammo:

ICI Military issue - 1938 & 1941

And some still sealed - 1937 & 1941

Some good old stuff from the USofA circa 1960's I think.

And again

Eley before it became Eley - circa late 1950's.

Re: Show us your rimfire's
Back in the 1970s, we had a club Mk4 Webley .22 revolver. Some of the rifle guys decided to have a pistol shoot and so they dug into their lockers to find all the old ammo that they had been hording for years. On the next pistol night, I opened the safe and the Webley was standing on a damp patch. The cylinder bores were red rust and dripping wet. The rifle guys claimed that the ammo was marked: "non-corrosive" and they had believed it.
