Re: NRA Journal
Hi Karen,
I've read your posts carefully and feel I may have missed the point about the purpose of the Journal. You're a journal is not a gun magazine. Hopefully the new publication can evolve to cover more of what the journal did.
Do you happen to know what the NRA was aiming for with the new style? For some it's a welcome change for others it's a backward step.

Re: NRA Journal
Matters not, they are the two sides of the same coin.
Re: NRA Journal
*cracks knuckles*
well my first post and I expect (as per usual) many people to fire me down (its a personal hazard on shooting forums)
I both like and dislike the new Journal for various reasons.
Likes for freshness and advertisement (the NRA probably looks at this as a potential source for drumming up income, can't be bad!)
Dislikes for tooooo much advertisement (speaking as a TR shooter, personal view, I know) and not enough content on meetings that have taken place, tours and definitely pictures associated with shooting on the FP.
A personal gripe of mine would be room given to the announcements of teams. It was pathetically small, at the back of the new format and made the selections feel like a passing idea that should be mumbled and moved beyond in the fastest possible way. Having been selected for an NRA/GB team for the first time I was really excited to see my name (initials, surname and country/county representations being announced.... that my surname was the only thing used and in tiny black type was a serious let down!
I hope that for future editions things will change through its evolution.
*waits for negative replies.... :?

Re: NRA Journal
Welcome to F-B(UK) Griff, I see nothing negative in what you have said, I would also like to see a lot more content. Blaze have made a start and I hope they take on board everything that has been said both positive and negative and give us the second edition we are all waiting for.

Hey Griff - Fancy seeing you here!Griff wrote:I expect (as per usual) many people to fire me down
Well done on CI Team selection!
..
Re: NRA Journal
I hope the next "Journal" makes good the omissions, especially around the Imperial, the Palma, and anything related to TEAMS, from the last.
It would also be a good thing if it were to be published very soon in order to do that, rather than waiting for the normal schedule.
