It's either a .303 necked down to 6.5mm or .303/25. I haven't decided which.

It doesn’t look necked down, in fact the shoulders are very rounded.
EDIT - Just looked again, they are not so rounded. It reminds me of some rounds my Granddad used to have, sadly they went in the river so no way to check them.

'Tis a mystery, but given the popularity of 303/25 in Australia that would be my first choice, however, a .303 necked down to 6.5mm sounds fun. I can the cries of sacrilege from the LE owners.

Where did he get it from? I thought my only choices where to import one from Australia (v cheap to buy - importing costs?) or to have one made.I could see that one, a chap at our club has one there were quite a few on the shelf when he got it

He got it from a chap who lives in Hythe he is an RFD, I will find out his situation (has been ill) and PM you the details
