Yeah and my head is still spinning from the last couple of days of trying to figure all this out

It'd be worth mentioning that this allows users to remain logged in instead of leaving them scratching their heads wondering why they keep being logged out having only just successfully logged on. :)

I had a request for a firefox update again this morning, and my login has reverted back to the way it used to be. So all fine this end.
