In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Difficult to say until we all see it.Hunter87 wrote:What's the ajenda behind this Brits with guns programme? Is it for or against us or non biased even I'm interested to know.

Let's say 100,000 viewers tune-in.
It piques the interest of, say, 50 people.
The other 99,950 fall asleep, change channel and wouldn't have bought a gun anyway.
Of those fifty, 20 make it to joining an club and become shooters.
That's progress in my book.
Or we could just hide away (as usual) and allow our sport to slowly die-off.

....and the other 30 join up one of the anti-gun mobs, with the valid argument killing mantra "....as a mother..."SevenSixTwo wrote:Let's say 100,000 viewers tune-in.

Also very interested to see how this will portray gun ownership in the UK, I'm guessing it'll be a 'did you know that' type angle and will largely focus on shooting in general terms and I'm not convinced it'll be negative.
Whilst it'll reach a limited group of daytime TV watchers (gods punishment for the sick & unemployed) the greatest opportunity to our community is exposing a young TV journalist to legal shooting & gun ownership in the UK, this in my opinion is invaluable and could pay dividens in the long term.
I'd like to see more interaction between gun owners/shooters and journalists as this in my opinion gives us the best opportunity to market our sport/pastime/hobbie in its true light.
