Probably not, so it's a moot point...
But after seeing that Mauser 'tanker' a long term project would be to take it back to 257 Roberts, 7x57 or something different, add a detachable box mag (G43, BAR or similar), iron sights, shorten/thread the barrel and so.
Edit - It's a mongrel anyway!
