It should do a lot more than 2,000 rounds IMO, maybe 2-3 times that. Either way, he might be open to negotiating if you get stuck, but I doubt you will.

Ah, that's encouraging, I thought the accurate life of these barrels was about 2000 rounds, so what you've said is great news.
I'll ring Adam at AI tomorrow and see what he says.
Cheers

I don't read too much into predicted barrel life. If buying second hand what condition is the barrel actually in? That's more important to me.

I've just ordered the tactical moderator from sporting services and whilst I was on their site, I noticed they still offer .260 barrels in either 24" or 26".

Don't get the impression I'm happy
No
I'm BLOODY ECSTATIC!
I've been talking with Adam today (Sporting Services) My Light Brown AXMC rifle complete with .308 and .260 Remington barrels should be with me by the end of January/early February.

The problem is, I wouldn't have a clue, which is one reason I rarely buy rifles second-hand.

Cool!
Make sure you post a pic when it arrives. What length barrel(s) did you go for and did you opt for the tactical muzzle brake?

Cheers H and will do re the pics.
I went for 26" barrel in both calibre's but I didn't bother with the tactical muzzle brake as I don't envisage spending £500 on a moderator for it and that appeared to be the only difference between the two brakes.

You will love the 260.
What twist is it?
Muzzle brake on the 260 is a bit academic. I didn't bother with one on my AE3.

Yeh I think 26" is a good choice, mine's 26" as well.
Yes that's about the size of it. I chose the tactical muzzle brake because Bisley is anti muzzle brakes as far as I know, which means I don't have to take it off the barrel. Anything for an easy life!
