Silver smooth face off a newish SPS Tactical.
The Timney is immediately a better break and a much nicer feel than the standard jobbie. Glad I made the upgrade. Piece of p*** to fit as well.

Re: Remington 700 recall
The three Remington rifles I have all came with the Walker triggers which weren't bad but as stated the Timney triggers are a "better break and a much nicer feel" and not overly expensive either. The Timneys I have are 2lb triggers, the Walker triggers are sitting in the drawer of my reloading den collecting dust.

Re: Remington 700 recall
My rifle has been with Riflecraft almost a week no news yet, they did say they are working a quick as possible when it was shipped to them.
Re: Remington 700 recall
Nothing yet...still awaiting uplift of the rifle from RFD storage
Re: Remington 700 recall
Riflecraft will arrange collection within 48 hours with no cost to the RFD or customer.
I had one returned earlier this week it went out 31/07/14 and was returned 19/08/2014. Apparently it was due to be with me last Friday however the courier missed the pick up so the shipped on the Monday with an AM delivery. Given the number of rifles they are having to work on I am happy enough with the process as was the customer.
Interestingly I spoke to someone a few days ago who was charged GBP30.00 for the privilege of having his rifle signed in and out again by his RFD, apparently it was to cover his costs. For the record we never add administrative costs for accepting or shipping rifles other than the standard courier charge, it takes me a couple of minutes to enter the transaction onto our database and I can never understand why an RFD would charge for such a service, expecially to existing customers. I may take a different view if someone I had no previous dealings with asked me to ship half a dozen rifles somewhere however that would be an exception.

Re: Remington 700 recall
I was given the Riflecraft details months ago, by RemingtonUSA, and Riflecraft had been contacted back then (as per instructions) with details of the rifle and which RFD has it
Nothing since...NOT impressed

Re: Remington 700 recall
Saddler, has your RFD contacted them to say the rifle is ready for collection? Give Amanda at Riflecraft a call 01379 853745 and I guarantee she will get it picked up at a time to suit you/your RFD.
Re: Remington 700 recall
RFD sent his info off to them months ago
Zilch since, as they were waiting for the triggers.
