All it says is "signatures, your e-petition could be debated in the House of Commons." Is that all we know? Why could and not would and what happens then?

As I understand it, having achieved the minimum of 100k signatures a motion will be put forward to debate the subject of the petition in Parliament.

At that stage the next steps will largely depend on what has been achieved up to that point and the manner in which the motion is put forward and any outcomes that are a result of that motion.

There is more to the campaign than a petition, although that is our primary public action at this time, further actions will be announced as the campaign progresses and grows.

This answers the could/would question :-
Why do you say my e-petition ‘could’ be debated in the House of Commons?

If your e-petition reaches the 100,000 signatures, it is eligible for a debate in the House of Commons. However a debate may not be possible:

if the subject of the e-petition is currently going through legal proceedings, it may be inappropriate for a debate to be held;
if there has just been, or is about to be, a debate in the House of Commons on the same topic as your e-petition.

If it gets 500,000 signatures the Government personally delivers a handgun and a years' supply of expanding ammunition to all who want one. ;)

Tell your clubs about this and get them to email all their members.

FirearmsUK / Erika - can you produce an awareness poster and/or flyers that folks can print out and leave in various places?

Our first of a series of posters for this purpose has already been designed and is in the final stages of development, pending final approvals. I expect to begin dispatching them within two weeks time.

If you are a member of club, range or other suitable venue that can authorize the displaying of a poster can you please get in touch or have the club liaise with us other this, we will need addressees, quantities, and any other relevant information, which we are happy to discuss. Please forward inquiries regarding posters to contact@firearmsuk.org
