As they do not got into details these may actually be suicides. And by firearms they may have meant shotguns.

Even though I'm not even a gun owner yet, I've done my bit, completed the survey and written to my MP. Has to be done otherwise there wont be much of shooting sport to join by the time I get there. :(

I see there was a short seige with 2 hostages at a bowling alley in Nuneaton.
Thankfully no one was injured.

For me it is easier to make a case against shotguns....

I would urge all FAC and SGC to submit a response to this consultation.
Even if to say you are in favour....
But please don't be apathetic about it.

I got my FoI response back today- The answer was hardly surprising.

Dear sir/madam

Could you please send me details (by email) of recorded unlawful use of .50 calibre, lever release, manually actuated release and straight pull rifles in the United Kingdom, in the last 20 years?
King regards -----

Dear Mr -----,

straight pull rifles in the United Kingdom, in the last 20 years.
Your request has been handled as a request for information under the Freedom of

The Home Office does not hold information on the calibre or mechanism of firearm
used in offences involving firearms.
Information on offences involving firearms that the Home Office does hold was
published in the ‘Focus on Violent Crime and Sexual Offences’ statistical bulletin.

review of our handling of your request by submitting a complaint within two months
to the address below, quoting reference 45643. If you ask for an internal review, it
would be helpful if you could say why you are dissatisfied with the response.

of complaint to the Information Commissioner as established by section 50 of the

That piece of information is interesting in itself. They don't hold the information, hence they have no evidence to suggest any one calibre or type of firearm is any more likely to be a danger to the public or used in crime, than any other.

Interesting to see in table 3.11 that > 60% of all firearms used in burglary in every year for the past 14 have been handguns. Those pesky criminals, using illegal firearms!

I would assume that it is a weapon that will function in non-air, i.e. space. As such, I would say it is safe to assume they are referring to moon based laser cannon.
