Another gem from the "Representative of British shooting sports", his new stick going on his comments of the last few days is "Growing paramilitarism in British sports shooting" and "Dangerous fantasists in military clothing and paraphernalia".

He is also playing the "lots of people support me because I have a few likes on Facebook" logical fallacy. He is also complaining about people wanting to run him out of business...NO Mike! We want you to stop making inflammatory and insulting comments about a section of British shooting that has done you no harm and is currently one of the few growth areas in the sport.

Some have suggested falsely that there is no support for my comments regarding growing paramilitarism in sport shooting, no doubt some disagree with me too but here are 102 from my personal page who have liked the following statement..."There are now people on my professional page threatening to destroy my journalistic career (as they suggest others have been destroyed or damaged) because writers like me have criticized the growth of para-military shooting sport (for example Jim Zumbo in the US who lost his job for saying that he would not take an AR or AK deer hunting). Well, here is my para-militaristic response. Foxtrot Oscar. Take your bullying elsewhere. Boycott what you like, but beware, people will judge you by such threats. Ignoring any other issues, you are hostile to free speech.

Something tells me there was more to Jim zumba's sacking. Also With how magazines and newspapers have been plummeting circulation they take note of what subscribers say. Does he think they were charities? Don't insult the people who are paying you Mike. Nothing to do with free speech. On a related note someone here has screen caps of Mike basically saying the Charlie hebdo staff asked to get killed and he claims the moral high ground? teanews. What a horrible person. Sounds like humble pie is not tasting all that good.

He only cares about his type of shooting,

As for the letter, what club has allowed people to purchase firearms with out a licence and store them for use on the club range or did I read it wrong.
Club Chairman & Secretary's should have all been to briefings on extremists joining clubs / using them to train. As for the EDL reference (not my bag) but AFAIK it is not a criminal offence to be a member or wear the clothing.

Reading the mans bio, he looks like one of the wannbe adventurer types that the early 80s Army produced. Resigning his commission to seek adventure and self promotion fame & fortune. As a Officer from the 80s he was possible in a regiment that put more importance on its mess silver, private income and what school its subalterns came from, than the quality of the officers and welfare of the men (yes it was like that back then). With public school & Sandhurst the old school tie and old boys network would have opened doors for him. Now he is on a nice little earner with shotguns etc. he will do anything to protect his income. I bet if he had had chosen to earn a crust from black rifles as a choice years ago he would have.

i think its more that these guys have given their club money to fund new equipment, the club have then bought new rifles to these guys spec, and then they are the clubs ticket for members use, but only certain members use certain rifles.... and oh look, its exactly the type I said i'd like to see in the club!
and if these folks were to ever get their own tickets, then they would obviously offer to buy them from the club, at a much lower price obviously due to the high use as a club gun....

as for the FEO's, do they have any say in who can be a probationary or full member of a club? of course if they have a record, then they might have restrictions on handling firearms, but if they are clean, and the club is welcoming to them, can the police actually stop you going to a club? as you obviously don't have a ticket for them to pull. but i suppose its the same as if you were about to get yours pulled for some little reason, I guess you could always sell your rifles to your club, and continue to use the club's guns as a member?

He's currently on TV right now......CH38, Quest+, JFK from inside the target car. He's the 'marksman' being used to replicate the JFK shootings for experimental purposes.

Wannbe adventurer type is a perfect description from his manner on this programme. A right cock socket would be another description......

knowing full well that there are no legal assult rifles in the uk or any legal semi auto centre fire rifles to call assult rifles and wrip up some hyster, he has know invented another bullshit terms especially for the uk legal black rifles - assult type rifles - or militray type rifle with rapid fire mechanisms ! i am willing to bet my wages that these terms are going to be used by daily sheeple !
on other hand he supports the new sig rifles giving to the met armed response teams, they are dressing more like paramilitary but thats ok and he supports that ! he also suggested that met should get bigger calibers to shoot through cover and stop cars

Edited to remove foul langauge.

This is an open forum not GOM, if you really want credence around your anti yardley views then expressing your selves more moderately would help your argument.

No , I won't have it. This man has every right to his opinion...and his hair is always perfect. When he takes those gorgeous hats off of course.
Now, do we have to buy journals or magazines he writes for...NO. Do we have to buy services or products of him or anyone who sponsors him...NO.
So I suggest we all write to gun mart and if anyone can list his other professional interactions that would be great.
Still nice hair..

I don't think he writes for alot these days, must be raging that running his mouth off cost him money. Free speech sadly does mean you can insult people paying for your services and expect them to want to keep paying when you do that. Monkey and organ grinder comes to mind.
