Here's one that I heard on yesterdays shoot,,,,this is true apparently.....

Dont know where this happened,,,,but somewhere on a high faluted toff's shoot,, a guest shooter was continualy getting calls on his mobile phone,, much to the annoyance of other shooters/syndicate members etc, anyway after about the 20th call,,,The head GAME KEEPER walks up to the guy, and say's "excuse me sir but can I see your mobile phone" with that the toff hands over the phone giving the game keeper a spiel on it,,,with that the Game keepeer throws the phone up in the air and then blasts it of of the sky!!! then cooly and calmly turns to the man and say's " Sir we dont allow Mobile phones on this shoot" and walks away!!

Barney, I agree, no such thing as an accidental discharge, only negligent!

However, you bloody health and safety nazi!!! No smoking on the point! I even smoke whilst reloading ammo and set the roll up down on my ammo box lid at the start of the detail and pick it up at the end!! And when, we sometimes get the stop firing because a boat wanders into the safety zone, I'll have a couple of puffs whilst waiting!

Honestly, everyone is an anti when it comes to the baccy.........
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

I wonder if it really would go...........

Experiment time!!!

A primed case in a 1/2" pine chest. How close the roll up to the primer?

Well after spending Friday night zeroing my 9mm the boss decided we were going to visit her friend on Saturday so didn't get to the gallery rifle match :( But did make it to the clays (albeit terminally hungover) on Sunday and borrowed a friends helmet camera which has an attachment that convienently mounts to the magazine of my M2 so i gave it a whirl;

Not the best quality but not bad for a £30 fleabay job. I've used it for practical comps before but previously only had the head-strap attachment which i have to admit makes you feel like a bit of a tool! :oops: :lol:

Ended up with 31/50, which considering my usual scores of low to mid 40's isn't great but i'll blame Jack Daniels for that :roll:

Good video!

You got on the rabbits nicely, I never like them at our local ground, mostly because the trap either destroys them as they leave the kennel or they skip along a conveyor belt for 3m and then launch vertically at random like deranged teal, or worse still fizzle out and die at your feet.

I was impressed with the camera for thirty quid, does it have a zoom function on it? I keep thinking of getting one when I practice McQueens but it needs to be good for 600m as that is what I normally shoot it at plus I am not sure what the recoil of a .308 will do to it :D

We had quite a few no birds from the manual double thrower, a couple are in the video. But its from using pick ups when its cold i guess.

No zoom function i'm afraid as they're really for BMX'ing/motorcross/surfing etc where the action is right up close but you can get HD ones which should allow you to zoom in digitally after the fact, however they run anywahere from £150-300 :shock: which is way out of my budget for this sort of thing! But lets face it I'm that tight i'm using my friends which was only £30! :lol:

GBP30 seems good to me, is the type that you slot a memory card into and charge with a USB lead? I notice a black circle appearing over the sun sometimes, I assume that is some sort of electronic filter to prevent it damaging the camera, do they record sound as well? At thirty quid you could put one in fairly 'unsafe' locations without being too heartbroken if it got clipped with debris.
