I've seen quite a few shells (shot and live) on wrecks - There was a wreck in Cornwall where dozens of anti-personel shells had broken open, and there were lead balls everywhere....

I've also been on a boat in littlehampton when a guy brought a live shell on board - it started phizzing, so was chucked back over quickly...the captain was not happy :shock:

These are some souvenires from Scapa Flow - Obviously they were NOT found inside any of the German fleet...but found randomly in the sand O:-)

The man that rode the horse to visit his cousin the picture is probably the very start of 1915 and is a staged picture, not sure what this horse was made of!

Grandad by the end of the war, this would have been 1919, he looks a lot older than the four years difference between the photographs.
