Actually I think you need more good luck with the Royal Mail these days (snow delay) than the local firearms officer:)

If you do not hand deliver then remember to send it recorded signed for using the envelope given. Because the 2nd class postage is paid for already you only need to pay for the recorded part which is.....yeah some pence...can't remember.

Also send them an email saying you have sent it, have them confirm the receipt via email, just to make sure.

We always keep a photocopy of the completed form.

What's the latest on your FAC?

Nowt at the moment, awaiting the home visit from the FEO although my local gun shop were saying that they think they close for 2 weeks over xmas.

I think I have everything in place so its just wait and see now. They have my FAC and have tracked the references to them so finger crossed they wont hang around, although I have been told it can take up to 8 weeks from receiving my app :(

Ummm was received on the 16th Dec if I remember correctly, I'm off this week so here's hoping they will come this week, but doubt it TBH

I think you need to allow a good six weeks for a first FAC application
