got a response, my email below hers.... and I borrowed the bullet points from an earlier post, Vicky sounds like a good person, but as she says, there are more people involved than her, and multiple facets to all this rubbish
I've replied that I think its rubbish, and that if they must be controlled, they should be treated as primers are, but it would impact collectors etc.

You make excellent excellent points.
The Belgian police forces have suggested that sales of magazines needs to be better controlled as in the run up to the Paris attack the terrorists were buying large quantities of magazines. However i have heard many strong arguments that a registration of magazines would be totally disproportionate, expensive and unworkable. Therefore in my own report I was not intending to require this.
I have wondered whether a compromise -if necessary- it would be appropriate for sales of magazines to be treated similar to sales of ammunition.
What are your thoughts?
