I think the point of this document is getting lost with policies for this that and the other.
That's the way of it though, the items I mentioned may well be needed nowadays in our compo based / PC world..

All it needs is one person in say a wheelchair or from an ethnic background to complain about what others see as unimportant.

Many of these polices can be obtained on line and ammended to suit...They do NOT have to be verbose or prosaic, just to the point..

e.g.

EQUALITY & DIVERSITY

"XYZ club is committed to equality of XXXXX / membership and fully accepts the principle of membership / training opportunities for all, regardless of sex, race, religion or disability.

If at any time you believe you are being the victim of harassment or any form of discrimination, bullying, etc please discuss it immediately with XXXXXXXXXXXX who will treat the matter in the strictest confidence and who will work with you to resolve the matter."

Simple, but covers you.
