Given that Police Scotland Firearms Licensing have in effect ceased to properly function, as Clubs, should we reciprocate and take our time to communicate with them? I mean FFS why bother when they and the Scottish office are playing silly Buggers.
I don't mean break the law just suggesting a go slow. They are quick enough to phone me when they want something to their advantage.
Okay just had my visit about sticking my air rifle on FAC.The guy only been in the job a few weeks so I get the feeling it was all part of his training, all good though no problems.
You are all missing the obvious here and ignoring the real elephant in the room in relation to Scottish gun ownership.
Everyone knows that they way police Scotland is operating firearms licensing is untenable and no one in their right mind would implement such a system, unless it was only a temporary measure.
Within two years of of that scumbag cameroon devolving firearms licensing powers to Holyrood the private ownership of firearms in Scotland will be banned.
The police know this, and want it, they have saved money by getting rid of firearms licensing staff and are prepared to put up with copper time being diverted to it and the mess that it will create as it will all be of no consequence when they implement the ban.
Come on Bambi get some
Imperial Good Metric Bad
Analogue Good Digital Bad
The one-for-one variation had been "lost" in the system (not printed off) - at least there's consistency in the admin. system, as ALL the last forms I put in were similarly "lost" - plus they are swamped with all the changes....
Three weeks wait = back to square one!!
Though I HAD also been assured two weeks ago that the form HAD been printed off....
I feel my first official complaint coming on....well, actually a second, as the first one was deemed by the office that handles complaints as NOT a complaint!

That is a worry, but as far as I am aware, the SNP have not asked for this power to be devolved to the Scottish Parliament, nor has it been offered by the Smith Commission. So the risk of this seems low, at least for the next few years -- unless you have information to the contrary?
