Easy - they have already defined "realistic imitation firearms". So would be easy to define "firearms of a military appearance" or something along those lines.Sixshot6 wrote:
And how would they define that, you have to define what is banned for it to be so.

After the amount of money they spent on compensation in 97 i don't think they will ban anything unless they make owning firearm high treason in which case that allows for confiscation of all property (treason act )

I would be...though it's still early daysSixshot6 wrote:Just what I thought, but at the end, should I and anyone else with a MARS/Lever release/whatever else comes soon, be worried at all?
The UK already has the most restrictive gun laws (as far as I know) in the EU - and even more so Scotland itself once the ridiculous AirWEAPON bollox comes into farce/force...
If a parliament(?) can enact that crap, blatantly ignoring the logical arguments & FACTS, plus overwhelming public opinion AGAINST the changes - then I'd not be holding my breath for any hope of enlightened argument in Westminster (esp. now the Marxist Scots Nazi Partie are so entrenched there...)
As someone (one of very many) that has already been shafted by parliaments self-interested expense swindling paedo-ring-member trough-guzzling fat cats, then I'd not be shocked stunned & amazed to see that they continue several sets of poor legislation with a few more...sells papers & looks good in autobiographies, old chap!
The laws DO need changing - but ONLY with the input of ALL effected parties (end-users & administrators) - in order to make them more efficient/streamlined & WORKABLE

They still sell imitations that are coloured so it's not that simple.breacher wrote:Easy - they have already defined "realistic imitation firearms". So would be easy to define "firearms of a military appearance" or something along those lines.Sixshot6 wrote:

So be worried but not too worried until the time comes then? I'll just carry on until it becomes an issue then.saddler wrote:I would be...though it's still early daysSixshot6 wrote:Just what I thought, but at the end, should I and anyone else with a MARS/Lever release/whatever else comes soon, be worried at all?

At times like this I'm ashamed to be British.

Send a letter, a written one. They are not required to respond to emails but have to respond to physical letters by law.joe wrote:What's the shooting organisations doing ? Maby we should all email

Re: Law Commission recommends total overhaul of firearms law
There was no mention of them wanting to ban MARS or lever release's. I wonder if the thing that Matt referred to was that bit where he talks about converting imitations maybe?
