Plan was to sell the Steyr SSG-04 and replace it with the Ruger but I'm leaning towards selling the Tikka T3 and keeping the Steyr, or of course plan B where I keep both and get the Ruger as well :)

Hmmm ... ... ... You might find that your distance increases a bit Jeff, as OpticsTrade.eu is actually in Slovenia. That aside, they are a superb outfit to deal with.

Oops!, senior moment!.

I got confused as there's another dealer with a very similar name in The Netherlands but if I recall correctly they don't show prices including the equivalent of VAT so not as cheap as they seems.

No worries Jeff - I too am plagued with senior moments being in my 57th year. I can wholeheartedly reccommend OpticsTrade.eu - What you see is what you get, and quickly -> Slovenia to me in 48 hours.

Ah - old fashioned service - they must VALUE customers

I sent an e-mail to a UK RFD about 14 days ago.
Two follow up phone calls & they STILL have not confirmed if the items I asked for are in stock, as I planned to call & collect on Friday when passing them.

At this rate I'll keep passing & shop elsewhere...buying on-line seems more attractive all the time, esp. when some of the prices abroad are way below UK ones (even including shipping). Europe seems to be the place to go for shooting accessories!

Is the 6.5 better than the 308 at 1000 yards plus and is the 6.5 a barrel burner ?

Your lass will knack ya if she finds you've dipped into her "pasty jar" - that's a couple of snack breaks worth for her, as long as the blokes on the navvy shovels can keep up
