I never said cast was rubbish just that it's not better than jacketed ?
my experience with my rifle with subsonics was that after using lead my accuracy dropped off till I cleaned it then normal jacketed would work ? just my experience that's all ( I have done a bit of most types of shooting, but I don't claim to be an expert)
No sulking here at all, I have just learned the futility of trying to show other shooting options to the conservative 308 British shooting public, fear not I won't be troubling you and the rest of the membership with sharing what little cast boolit knowledge I have, it will be no one here's loss and certainly not mine as I can devote the time to casting and posting on forums with a more enlightened membership.

Just more uninformed ignorance spouted as fact by narrow minded shooters.
Rather than misleading people about the dangers of lead ingestion, by whatever route, I suggest you read some of the vast amounts of medical literature relating to lead poisoning. Handling lead, including lead bullets, is specifically mentioned time and again. However, medical scientists clearly have it wrong as lead smelting and the fumes therefrom are also considered a source of poisoning.
I smelt TONS (literally) of lead and cast 1000's of boolits. I also shoot 1000's of cast boolits indoors and out. I have my blood lead level checked regularly and my lead level is minimal.
Purveyor of fine cast boolits.
