I'd assumed the NRA had partnered with F4I as you guys are in a much better place to host nationally?
Competition is always good, so long as it's healthy and not spiteful.
It's sad that the UKPSA stooped to those levels!

Their seems to be no maturation, statesmanship, leadership, integrity or exemplar behaviour in any of our tawdry collection of shooting organisations.

They all seem shabby, corporately and individual ego driven and do every gun owner in this country a disservice in the name of shooting, they are all despicable and contemptible enough to become parliamentarians.

Can't argue with those sentiments, I think Adam has hit the nail on the head.

It's a great pity that the individual shooting organisations can't stop sniping at each other and recognise the common enemy of the shooting community in the UK, is the lefty anti-gun, PC brigade.

They must be laughing their socks off at our disunity.

As a founder member of the UKPSA back in the '70's (membership No.23 if I remember correctly) I find it sad that we have come to this.

I have to agree on the point about sniping, this is undignified at best.

Anyway. I spoke to Mercer to find out why he made the announcement that he did:
‘I was being Mr Cautious’ says NRA’s Mercer over UKPSA insurance warning

Andrew Mercer has defended the NRA’s warning that UKPSA members may have been shooting while uninsured – and thereby committing criminal offences – by saying he was just being cautious and looking out for shooters.

In an interview with UK Shooting News, Mercer said the NRA became concerned about the insurance status of UKPSA members when he reviewed their NRA affiliation paperwork.

I'm curious to know what people think of the point about national governing bodies not being affiliated to the NRA.

I'm not happy that the NRA can deny affiliation to be honest. They're supposed to represent UK shooting, not their own vested interests, should should be as inclusive as possible.

Reading his comments fully I can almost see where he's coming from RE affiliation, but it's strange that this is only just happening

I think the NRA should seek to affiliate itself with UKPSA so as to help support practical shooting, that would be the "right" thing to do now that the decision has been made.
