There are plenty of others who have made "interesting" remarks from time to time!

I have agree with Karen, some of the "interesting" remarks on here especially those concerning the NRA have made my blood boil. A lot of these have been directed at Karen and Heather who have only been trying to inform forum members as to what is going on at Bisley.

Christel, my remark concerning tossers was not aimed at you! It was aimed at the misinformed posters concerning the CSR thread which started this catalyst.

I do find these forums amusing... The minute someone comes along who doesn't 'fit' and may make a few disparaging remarks about existing users, and wham goes the ban hammer...

All get over yourselves, this is the internet!

Mark came on here to defend a shooting discipline he is passionate about and has done an enormous amount to promote. He's done untold work to take CSR from a little known competitive league to something that now gets people travelling to Bisley for just a day in any weather from all parts of the UK! .. How many of this forums members can say they have done so much for shooting...

It seems a lot of folk here are wannabe sniper plinkers who know everything about everyone else's discipline and would be the discipline's best shot but are just too afraid to step upto the line and show everyone else when it comes to competition.

As an aside, no I don't think there'll be lots of AR15 forum members signing up here, we all left there long ago.... tongueout

I'm sure he was not refering to you christel,

I've known Mark for years, his products are top notch his customer service is second to none even on guns that he has had nothing to do with the manufacture of,

Mark is trying to be the first "fully made in the uk" not another parts bought from anywhere and assembled in the UK manufacturer!

He will always help and advise people when it comes to AR15's and CSR!

I don't personally shoot CSR, I'm more into the engineering and design of firearms.

But I do know how much Mark puts into CSR!

And I can understand his frustration when armchair experts start spouting twaddle!

Just as I'm sure if somebody started telling you christel that what you did was a load of old tosh!

Mark could bring a lot of information and help to people looking to get into CSR on this furom and his technical expertise is next to none on all forms of firearms!

Banning him may have felt justified but I get where both sides are coming from!

Ps I'm banned from the bbs over a similar thing where a "known" started an argument and didn't like the response they got back,

I only post on cough Arf.com cough if someone asks a technical or legal question but its own uk section is now left to the muppets bad moderation forced upon it, nobody was banned we all decided we couldn't put up with the rubbish in there anymore!

I'm also not a fan of the 'ban hammer' but when people just won't take a hint despite some being pretty obvious then it leaves the moderators with no option .

I see this was your first post here ? Why not introduce your self ?

I have yet to complete my transaction with Mark but will do so in the new year.

So far his customer service has been exemplary, I have found him very professional, polite and helpful.

I have not followed what ever thread has caused this, so I cannot comment on it.

Completely agree.

At the end of the day this is your forum, your rules. BUT IMHO this forum will lose. Our sport is too small and not growing fast enough to create splits or ban people like Mark. He has a lot more to offer than many on here and lets be honest....he generated more traffic and interest than i've seen on here for ages. And no, i am not on AR15 and no i dont buy his products but yes i have shot his competitions. Strap on a pair and stop bitching now that he's not here. Quite pathetic.

I don't know him from Adam (Not Dromia!) but I am aware he seems to make a habit of getting banned from forums.

As James says, the UK home town forum was destroyed by a couple of new posters who treated it like a cross between an airsoft chat room and a lower sixth common room. Several regulars tried to explain that the banter on the board was such because most members knew each other personally and to take it easy until they got to know everyone.

Things degenerated and the site staff got involved, they said "everyone has to get along", so a benevolent member decided to set up a whole new forum aimed at CSR. Just about everyone left and the two moderators gave up the job and it's now all but dead. I'm still a member, but I mostly post in the general forum.
